The title of this post would suggest something has come to fruition that should have been occurring for quite a time. Well I am the eternal procrastinator when it comes to writing. I know that I should have been blogging for quite a while but could never quite get around to it.
Well, something changed. I got a brand new iPad which happens to have an application that I can use to write this blog! Needles to say the convenience factor is through the roof.
Two other "mini revelations" have since occurred. I got a new compact Ona Prince Street camera bag that allows me to discretely carry my gear. I know it doesn't sound significant but it will all make sense in a moment. Now that I have the iPad I have discovered the awesomeness of in camera wifi on my Canon 6D in conjunction with VSCOCAM and Lightroom mobile. I can now shoot, edit and post in as matter of minutes, which is proving to be extremely useful. I no longer have to shoot, wait to get home, download, edit, export then post. It all happens in minutes wherever I am!
This nifty combination of new and old gear has renewed my interest in carrying my camera with me everywhere. I am able to fit my Canon 6D with a Sigma 50mm 1.4 Art lens, a Cannon 600 EXRT flash & trigger combo, plus iPad Air 2 with a random assortment of extra batteries, pens, charger etc. The best part is the bag doesn't look like a camera bag, just clean and classic.
This is like my new super pack. I know some of the mirrorless photographers are saying it's still a big heavy camera, blah blah, but hey, it works for me and I love it!
I have been taking this thing with me everywhere. With this newfound joy of camera carrying I have gotten some images that I never would have been able to without my "real" camera.
Below I have included a few samples of images shot, edited and posted without ever turning on the computerthe computer
